On 15 June 2026 ORBIS SHIPPING started operating a direct LCL service from Cat Lai port in Ho Chi Minh City to Rotterdam, with a fixed consolidation cut-off every Thursday and an average transit time of 32 days.
Why a direct string makes a difference
Most LCL cargo bound for Europe is currently transshipped via Singapore or Port Klang, which adds 5–10 days of waiting for a connecting container and carries a real risk of rolled cargo in peak season. The new ORBIS service consolidates at the Cat Lai CFS warehouse and seals the container for a direct sailing, so the shipment is handled only once.
